People usually kept Red Ear Slider as a pet...
its one of the most difficult pet to handle...
When they are young, (size of a 50 cent) the tank water should be change daily using plain water, and not tap water...cause tap water have lots of chlorine...
They are omnivore but as they grow older, they become more herbivore...
They love to swim but sometime they would get out of water to bask under the sun...so they have enough vitamin D to ensure their shell is healthy...
Male should have sharp claws n longer tail while female usually have bigger body...
Their lifespan is nearly 150 years...
So if they survive being a pet after one or two years, they can live as long as their owners..
But remember, diz turtle is a very dirty animal...
So you must be workin really hard cleaning al the stuff n change the water every week...
or i recommend you not to buy them as there are lots of people out day that can ensure they live at least for a day...
